Catherine Stauffacher

In 1884 the wife of Judge Edward Stauffacher, who owned the 260 acres of land consisting of the four corners where the Catherine Store road and Highway 82 are located.

There was a post office, a dairy and cheese factory and a Colorado Midland Railroad stop all named for Catherine. The people of Missouri Heights took their cream and dairy products, used the post office and the railroad stop for business and a gathering center. The Catherine Store still exists in 2009.
