Every little bit helps!

2014

Because of all the donations and wonderful community volunteers, in the summer we were able to build a new wheelchair-accessible ramp to the front entrance, a safe entry stoop and electricity to the teacherage, and a new foundation for the port-a-potty. Then in the fall we added some new landscaping including the potentilla bushes along the new walkway.

2018

With some saved funds from our 2013-2014 donations, we replaced the doors on the schoolhouse. They were getting quite hard to open and close because they were so badly warped and falling apart. Our contractor, Glenn Carr, was able to put together doors that perfectly matched the original ones. Now they work wonderfully and are beautiful.

2020

Once again, only because of our fantastic community, we were able to accomplish our much needed goal of painting (and all that goes with it) the schoolhouse. We were only able to do this because of the financial generosity of our Missouri Heights neighbors and the many hours of volunteer time by both lay and professional people to do the "grunt" work of scraping and sanding. All this work then led to Dan Rosenthal being able to give the schoolhouse a proper professional prime and paint job. Special thanks go out to Dan Rosenthal, Glenn Sloop, and Bob Schultz for their professional guidance and organization throughout this project.

So many thanks go out to both our financial donors and our volunteers. We just couldn't have done all this without the people of the Missouri Heights community and their belief in what's possible.
